Chelsey comes home from school yesterday and informs me that I have homework....yeah right...more papers to sign, right??
Nope....the parents are to write an essay about their kids...1 million words or less.
Are you freakin' kidding me??
It's due on Friday....

Are you kidding me? That's a tough assignment. You'd better do a nice job or she'll be scarred for life! Ha! I used to be teacher - what if the parents don't do it?! There will be at least one. Sad!
Actually, while it is a tough assignment - who wants to be accused of bragging - I have seen the benefit of it- it gives the teachers an instant insight into the students (parent teacher conferences aren't til 2nd mp)and the students seem to enjoy the fact that there teachers want to get to know them. I believe this essay is a factor with this team consistently having the nicest most respectful students.
