Christmas Hell

Over this last week I have tortured my newborn by keeping him strapped in his car seat for 6 hours.....

Right.

No, I'm serious...it's called Christmas shopping and it's what you must do to babies in order to get it done. I didn't think about it until I got home and realized that Joey was in his car seat for 6 hours.

And didn't make a peep....what a great baby! Granted, he slept most of the time. But when I got him home, I changed a very loaded diaper and gave him a BIG bottle to drink....but I am finished....

There's some more to get for Joe's side of the family, but you know what? I am done...he can finish them up.

Now, let the wrapping begin!!

or way under my estimation....oh well...back on track. It's been hard with the holidays arriving and Joe (still!) taking his EMT classes...almost done with those! My goal this holiday season is not to gain any weight.

It's a good goal, I think, and if I lose, even better....I'll still have to do the New Year's thing....you know...resolve to lose weight...but I am impressed with myself that I have kept up on going to the gym at least 3x a week, sometimes 4x. It's been 3 months...I'd love to say I have lost all this weight, but I haven't....I am gaining muscle....it's depressing. But as long as I keep getting muscles and not fat, I think I'll be able to continue. And if I can ever get this diet under control...so much the better.

Then the weight will melt off...or so I'm told.
